The Dr. Dash Foundation, established by Dr. S.K. Dash, is an Edina, Minnesota–based global charitable organization operating for over 30 years. It focuses on health, education, and welfare initiatives, particularly in Odisha, India, supporting projects like Kalinga Hospital, IIT Bhubaneswar, and rural development.
Founder Dr. S.K. Dash is a globally recognized probiotic scientist, entrepreneur, and Chairman of Kalinga Hospital, Bhubaneswar. The foundation's focus areas include philanthropy, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), healthcare, education, welfare, and cultural promotion.
Key initiatives include establishing the Dr. S. K. Dash Probiotic & Prebiotic Innovation Centre for Excellence at IIT Bhubaneswar and South Dakota State University, supporting Fakir Mohan University and scholarships, managing healthcare projects including urgent care centers, adopting villages and schools, and partnering with global organizations such as the Carter Center and Second Harvest Heartland.

Supporting education through the Dr. S. K. Dash Probiotic & Prebiotic Innovation Centre at IIT Bhubaneswar and partnerships with universities, scholarships, and vocational training for underserved youth.

Partnering with Kalinga Hospital and local health centres to improve maternal & child health, urgent care services in Cuttack, and wider community health programmes in Odisha.

Adopting villages, supporting orphanages and schools, and establishing polytechnic and livelihood programmes to uplift underprivileged communities.

Collaborating with partners such as the Carter Center and Minnesota organisations to deliver CSR, and promote cultural heritage, literature, art and music in Odisha and beyond.
We are encouraging innovative ideas of our future generation by establishing Innovation Centers at IIT-Bhubaneswar and South Dakota State University-USA. We also initiated for establishment of Biochemical Engineering at SDSU.
